Photography is memory. Every photo tells a story of waking up bears while descending a mountain in the dark, meditating on a rocky beach where the mountain meets the sea, capturing the energy from a live performance while standing in the crowd, or recording the first genuine smile I see from a person I just met. I struggle with my memory sometimes, and because of that, capturing the genuine emotion of the subject has the highest priority so the story within the image is raw and honest.
